Operation Face The Music Hall Scam: City Manager Tries To Sneak $10 Million To The Company

Wonder where the City of Cincinnati will get the $10 million demanded by Music Hall Revitalization Company, Inc. (The Company), especially considering the City is reportedly nearly bankrupt? Here's how.... Cincinnati City Manager Milton Dohoney just released his annual tax budget proposal. It includes a property tax increase.  The Cincinnati Black Blog has learned that a million dollars will be given to The Company for the next 10 years. This is in addition to the $200,000 the City gives to the Cincinnati Arts Asssociation (CAA) every year. [Readers of this blog know there is no substantial difference between The Company and CAA.] Bottom line: without ever having a public discussion or public hearing, Dohoney wants to raise taxes on property owners and give it to The Company. Sneaky.

[Update: That didn't take long. The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that Dohoney's proposal includes $1 million for The Company.]
