YOU Can Help Stop The Legal Lynching Of Ken Lawson
I had to be a little boy when I first heard the saying: the white man never forgets. I don't remember who said it but I've always remembered the saying. It stuck in my mind and has proven to be true. The white man never forgets or forgives Blacks who stand up for themselves and their people. This is seen as somehow standing up to them.
I've told the story on blog about how me and other activists begged local lawyers to file a suit against the City of Cincinnati alleging the police department had a pattern and practice of civil rights abuses against Blacks. Nobody would do it. Not Scott Greenwood and the ACLU. Not Al Gerhardstein. Not one single Negro lawyer would touch the case. They all could've stepped up and done something to stop the cops from killing and abusing Black people, but they wouldn't do it. They either didn't care or they were too incompetent or they were too busy making money or they were too scared to take on the city.
It took us years to convince Kenneth Lawson to step up and file the lawsuit. But he did it. And it worked. We got the Collaborative Agreement. It isn't perfect. But it has stopped the cops from slaughtering Black men and Black boys. Ken Lawson used his law degree to save lives.
Ken Lawson stood up for Black people in this city when no other lawyer would. You'd think the Black community would be eternally grateful. You'd think we'd remember all the good things Ken Lawson has done. You'd think we'd have Ken's back in his time of need. Ah, but the Black man's memory isn't as long as the white man's.
THE WHITE MAN IS LYNCHING KEN LAWSON! It's a legal lynching. Its happening right before our eyes. They are whipping Ken Lawson just like they used to whip the slaves. And they are putting the images out on TV to make sure Black people see what they are doing. How can we let this happen?! Black people should pack the hearing today and on October 26th.
Some of you dumbasses will argue that Kenneth deserves to be lynched by the white man because he is a Republican and/or because he supported Joe Deters over Fanon Rucker. How petty can you get. You remember him standing up for Deters but forget him standing shoulder to shoulder with Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Kweisi Mfume and dozens of victims of police brutality and their families.
And you don't realize that if we allow them to lynch Lawson today, it'll be somebody else tomorrow. They've already targeted Clyde Bennett, Donald Shabazz, David Washington, Wende Cross (even though she is too dumb to know that she is still Black), Derek Farmer, Wilton Blake, and Andrew White. The Cincinnati Enquirer's Peter Bronson isn't writing negative stories about Rita McNeil for nothing. She is next on the list. As soon as they finish with Lawson, they want to make Rita the next Ron Twitty.
Black people can stop this. And lawyers can stop this. That's why I sent an email to every lawyer in Cincinnati yesterday -- some of whom have been helped greatly by Ken Lawson. I may post the letter here on this blog at a later date. For now, here are a few key points.
- The Cincinnati Bar Association and Robert J. Hollingsworth have spent months working to convince the Ohio Supreme Court to permanently disbar Ken Lawson. A hearing before the Board of Commissioners & Grievances is scheduled for October 15, 16 and 26 at the 1st District Court of Appeals (230 E. 9th St, Cincinnati) in courtroom A. The hearing starts at 10 a.m.
- I can testify that Kenneth L. Lawson is a good man. He has helped hundreds, possibly thousands, of people, including me. He has stood up for his friends, fought for his clients, and demanded that his community be treated with respect. For over a decade, Ken Lawson used his law license to make a difference. The good done by him over many years far outweighs any mistakes he made after becoming addicted to pain medication. That’s why I believe he shouldn’t lose his license. (He shouldn’t even be suspended considering he hasn’t practiced in months.) Instead, he deserves a chance to redeem himself. This is the American way.
- Kenneth’s skin color has a lot to do with the way Hollingsworth and the CBA have handled his case. From it’s inception, the CBA has been hostile toward Blacks. For years, Blacks couldn’t join the CBA. Ted Berry, Cincinnati’s first Black mayor, couldn’t join the CBA. Sure, many things have changed. But some things have not. And some “old-school” white lawyers still don’t want to see Black lawyers making money and being successful.
- Early in the Summer, Hollingsworth and the CBA pushed the Supreme Court to place Kenneth on an interim remedial suspension. They sought to take away Kenneth’s ability to make money and pay his debts. What they really want to do is to strip him of his dignity and paint him as a typical, worthless nigger. They also want to use him to teach the Black community a lesson: whites still rule the world. We are powerful and can take down one of your leaders if he gets too uppity. [Contrast the way the CBA and Hollingsworth have gone after Kenneth with the way they’ve refused to go after Scott Croswell who is a Clermont County Commissioner and continues to accept criminal cases -- including the Brenda Slaby case -- that are prosecuted by the Commission’s attorney, Clermont County Prosecutor Don White. To my knowledge, the CBA hasn’t sought to get Croswell’s license suspended. Croswell is white.]
On this date in 1995 a million Black men went to the Million Man March. I was there. I remember the Day of Atonement. I remember the pledge to protect our brothers. Black people, and really all people with a conscious, should show up to support Ken Lawson and stop Hollingsworth and the Cincinnati Bar Association from taking away this man's ability to make a living. Lawson has been punished enough. It's time for them to let him move on with his life.

For a moment, from your headline, I thought Lawson was getting justice. Too bad, just a legal proceeding.
Lawson should have been disbarred long ago for his lying, public mischaracterizations of the police involved homicides. You will recall that Lawson's actions led to dozens of black men returning to prison for aggravated rioting; they knew no better, but Lawson did.
A despicable piece of human sludge, he used his considerable intellect for evil purposes.
Good riddance!
Ken Lawson did it to himself. If it's a legal lynching, then you want people to prevent the legal process from working. Lawson should be held accountable and that is what's happening. You can't steal your clients' money and expect for it to be swept under the rug. However it goes down for Lawson, it's God justice coming back on him.
Agreed. Let the market and potential clientele decide whether or not Lawson is still a viable lawyer.
This is a joke right? With multiple black men sitting in jail because Ken cared more about dope then he did about justice, you ask that people stand up for him? Addiction is a terrible disease. Many addicts just hurt their families which is bad enough. Kenny, through his position and the trust that people put in him actually devastated and ruined other people's lives. Ruined their lives, Nate. When most of us defended Ken against the accusations of Crackhead Ken Lawson, he sat back and let everyone be the fool. He used his position, the radio, his community visibility and his wealth and status to exploit the community, not help the community. Everyone wondered when you were going to address this and what your approach would be. Don't talk about people drinking Smitherman's cool-aid anymore. Nobody has been more thirsty than you when it comes to Lawson. Shame on him. Crybaby that he might might be called to account for his actions while he let other people go through a revolving door of conviction after conviction simply because he was too loaded, too arrogant, too untouchable to be questioned. You've got a lot of nerve.
Hello Nate,
I like to call myself an informed Cincinnatian, and this statement has nothing to do with the Lawson entry. Cincinnati politics is slowly being funneled to a few inadequate individuals. These individuals like to think of themselves as the "Karl Rove" of Cincinnati politics. First, these are Democrats stating this and second, who wants to be a "Karl Rove"? Why are so many council races, issues races, and even Congressional races being run by affiliates of Crammerding Consulting? The individuals are Areyh Alex and Miles Lindhal. First, Areyh is disliked by many political insiders, especially the CDC. Lindhal was fired by Berding and found his way to Cooper's campaign. I love Cooper, but her campaign is being run by a zit faced amateur. Word is Miles also runs Brian Garry's campaign, thats smart, get a individual who hit a police horse, changed his name, and drops political names like it matters for his campaign. This is just a statement and even an opinion, but Cincinnati politics needs people who are competent and educated, and wont back stab their peers for political gain.
Thanks
A Concerned Cincinnatian
he broke the law.. black or white he broke the law and cheated people that trusted him
Where is Brian Garry?
I would like to tell you a story of Ken Lawson.
President Bush came to Cincinnati and gave a speech to invade Iraq. I was there and watched as the Cincinnati marched on innocent peaceful protesters in Cincinnati.
Brian Garry was one of them, convicted of smacking a horse as it attacked him on public grounds. I testified for Gerry's innocense as Mr. Lawson defended Garry for free. Without Lawson we would have been convicted guilty. I have a love/hate relationship with Lawson but he is needed in Cincinnati.
Nate. You know me and I know you... I don't like the ways you always do things in this town... sometimes I get downright angry at you. And in regards the Junkyard Dog -- Ken Lawson... Garry was proven innocent because of Lawson.
Deters himself knows the fairness of keeping Lawson in practice... a blind man can see that!
Where is Garry?
Nate - I agree that Mr. Lawson has done some great things in his career. Unfortunately, in the past few years, he's also had quite a lot of difficulties. Those that he represented during that time deserved quality representation. And HE has admitted that he did not do this.
I'm not familiar enough with the rules of the bar to say that Mr. Lawson should be permanently disbarred. I'm also always for giving someone a second chance, but he would need to "prove" himself. That has nothing to do with his skin color, but with his addiction.
If you have statistics that others in Mr. Lawson's condition - someone who admits he misrepresented clients due to his addictions - were not disbarred, then I would agree you have a "case". However, if others, no matter what their skin color, also faced such hearing, I don't think you have a "case".
Nate,
If a white lawyer did the things that Lawson did, you'd be calling for his head. You are a hypocrite who is full of double standards.
BTW, you may wanna mention the fact that you work for Lawson, or at least did while he had a business. You're not exactly impartial on this.
Speaking of legal lynching...
Wasn't it Ken Lawson and Clyde Bennett who "represented" the 2 young brothas who got 60 years without parole last year? From what I understand, Ken and Clyde basically tied the nooses.
Karma don't play...
Hello, you can come here
http://www.bigblackconnect.com
to find a friend to help, on its blog or forum, it really works.
Wow! I agree with your sentiments about the Black community standing with Lawson. He has done a lot of good in this tired ass city and I'm sure that he has sacrificed a lot personally and professionally because of it.
However, I also find it very hypocritical of you to talk about the MMM and the Day of Atonement and "being your brother's keeper", when you utilize this very blog to lynch other Black men (ie Smitherman)who are also making the same sacrifices.
Peter,
I'll tell you where selfish Brian Garry is. He is sending out emails claiming that by running for Council he has put his life on the line and begging for money. Below is a portion of the email.
"Hello Friends,
"I need your help. I have chosen to put my life out there and risk attacks from the middle and conservative right wing. They are attacking and I need your help to defend.
"In these final days of the election, I seriously need your time, your money or both. I need to pay for radio, mailings, and air time. I need real workers who can help me through these last days. Making phone calls, sending letters, raising money and going door to door.
"I need to raise an additional twenty-thousand dollars in the next two weeks in order for me to confirm a win. Won't you please help me? Wouldn't you really like to see Cincinnati become more Progressive, Inclusive, 'For the People' and Green? Well. now is the time. Now is the time to step it up! I need 100 more volunteers in these final days of the election to present to the Right Wing that we do have Power and that we do have Numbers!"
"However, I also find it very hypocritical of you to talk about the MMM and the Day of Atonement and "being your brother's keeper", when you utilize this very blog to lynch other Black men (ie Smitherman)who are also making the same sacrifices."
Perhaps if General Sillyman quit using his radio show to lynch other Black people that don't agree with him, I'd stop spanking his ass on this blog.
I don't have time to listen to Sillyman's show every week, but in the times I have heard it I've heard him castigate Black people who dye or perm their hair and accuse them of not wearing an afro like him because they want to look like white people. (In this same show he turned around and tried to lift up Al Sharpton who wears a perm in his hair.)
I've heard Sillyman dog out respected elected officials, pastors, elders and community leaders.
So please don't talk to me about saying a few critical things about Sillyman unless you've gone to him first and spoke to him about that nasty tongue of his.
I'm actually glad Sillyman finally joined the fight for civil rights after sitting on the sidelines all these years.
Carl Lindner did some nice things. Gave some money for public pools, funded some sports teams, donated to the Free Store, sent fans to hot oldsters. But he also made the money to do these things by spraying poison on kids in Guatemala, funding death squads, overthrowing duly elected rulers, assassinating South American union organizers. Is he good? Has he also done so much for the community?
Why should Brian Garry have to speak out? Lawson got people sent up the river, doing serious time. Black men. Whether he defended him or not. And in the shape Lawson's been in an innocent verdict was a slam dunk because he hasn't put on a sensible defense in years. Have you seen him in court? Sleeping. Babbling. Incoherent, not following the procedures. Not having even basic knowledge about his own clients?
And Peter Deane did you read this? According to Nate, you're responsible for Ken Lawson's blight goofball. What a bunch of idiotic drivel. The regular dope fiend goes to jail. The privileged dope fiends like Lawson become the cause celebre. It's about class stupid.
Peter Deane: Garry was acquitted of that charge, not convicted.
Nate: if you're what's passing for a character witness these days, then Lawson is truly screwed.
Sillyman lynches black people? Lawson does a lot worse. He sends them to their doom. At least Sillyman's lynching is figurative. Lawson's is literal.
And Lou Gerhig's disease? That proves his wife knew about his addiction, maybe even got him dope. He was saying all around town and even on the radio that he had a terminal disease. She's a doctor. She didn't question that? Please. Maybe you're his connection like Kato Kaelin was OJ's connection. OJ also kept his supplier close by.
Since Mr. pat-myself-on-the-back Sillyman and his smart mouth lil punks are self-proclaimed "courtwatchers" now, has anyone other than myself and a few others questioned the fact that there was no "massive staged protest" at Mr. Lawson's hearing on Monday or Tuesday. In times gone by Lawson has spoken out in Sillyman's defense when he was being nothing other than divisive and a self-grandizing arrogant punk.
Where was the NAACP and its oh so important president to rally behind Lawson in his time of need?
Nate - 4 days ago I submitted an entry that gave an opposing view to yours cncerning Ken Lawson and it has yet to appear. I have great respect for what you are doing for Black Cincinnati, but it is slowly diminishing when I see you censor this blog when facts are presented that contradict your opinions. Be a man of integrity and let the peoples voice be heard.
Ken Lawson and Clyde Bennett have done a tremendous amount of good for our people. But when it came down to the 2 young men that got 60 years without parole, they really did serve these brothers up to the man on a silver platter. I know this to be a fact.
"Since Mr. pat-myself-on-the-back Sillyman and his smart mouth lil punks are self-proclaimed "courtwatchers" now, has anyone other than myself and a few others questioned the fact that there was no "massive staged protest" at Mr. Lawson's hearing on Monday or Tuesday. In times gone by Lawson has spoken out in Sillyman's defense when he was being nothing other than divisive and a self-grandizing arrogant punk.
"Where was the NAACP and its oh so important president to rally behind Lawson in his time of need?"
I'm so glad you raised this point. There are five reasons why Sillyman hasn't involved himself.
First, Sillyman is a petty person. When he personal disagrees with a person or dislikes them, he refuses to work with them or stand with them -- even if he should.
Second, he is too dense to grasp that Black leadership is under attack -- its not just Lawson and Bennett. And he is too weak and dumb to know what to do about the attacks on Black leaders if he did grasp what is happening. (Always remember that Sillyman was on Council when they ran Ron Twitty out of the CPD.)
Third, Kenneth did his job and defended his client, Howard Beatty, after he shot and killed Kabaka. Sillyman was asked (actually begged) to intervene in the situation BEFORE Kabaka got killed and refused. In fact, he encouraged Kabaka to threaten the Beattys. In so doing, he helped get Kabaka killed.
Fourth, Sillyman has bad judgment, holds grudges, and blames Lawson for things he had no control over. Sillyman supported Fanon Rucker for prosecutor. Lawson supported Deters. (For the record, I didn't support either one of them.) Sillyman's brother, Joe Smitherman, ran Rucker's campaign. Rucker lost. Sillyman can't get over it. At one point, Sillyman tried to play the race card but people like me pointed out that him and Rucker continue to support white candidates over Black ones. (For example, Rucker supported David Pepper over Mark Mallory for mayor and Smitherman is only supporting one candidate for Council, Justin Jeffre, who is white over the 7 qualified Black candidates.) Sillyman supported Alicia Reece for Mayor even though she didn't live in the city. Sillyman is still mad that I exposed her and her family and stopped them from engaging in voter fraud.
Fifth, Sillyman is disloyal. I don't pretend to know everything that Lawson did to help Sillyman, especially when he was on Council, but I know he did a lot. A lot! Lawson didn't just support Sillyman when he was getting his ass roasted, he supported him, gave him free advice, and helped him in many other ways behind the scenes.
Only one post censored? I've sent 3. Of course Nate won't publish anything contrary to his position when it makes real sense. And of course he'll say that's his right because it's his blog. And he's right. But on the other hand he shouldn't call it the Cincinnati Black Blog and continue to pretend that his mission is to further the causes of black people. If that were true, he would just stay quiet about his friend that did major damage to poor black men that trusted him.
Why not add Donald Shabazz to your list of legally lynched black lawyers? Not willing to defend him? Why's that?
"Why not add Donald Shabazz to your list of legally lynched black lawyers? Not willing to defend him? Why's that?"
Hey, anonymous dumbass! His name is in the blog entry. Learn to read!!!
I'm sorry I meant to say charged.
"Only one post censored? I've sent 3."
Yeah, you've sent 3 that say the same thing you've been saying for years -- the only thing you seem to know. You hate the Mallory family. You blame them for everything wrong in the city. You are mad that Kenneth defended Dale when the white mob tried to take over the West End Community Council. We know.
"Of course Nate won't publish anything contrary to his position when it makes real sense."
No. I'm just tired of publishing your old, tired anti-Mallory rhetoric. Go sing to the we-hate-Mallory blog crowd.
"And of course he'll say that's his right because it's his blog. And he's right."
Damn right! And people don't come to this blog to read your ridiculous conspiracy theories about the Mallory family. They don't want to read your silly thoughts. If they wanted to read your bullshit, they would've read your blog. They didn't. And that's why you stopped publishing it. People tire of listening to a broken record.
"But on the other hand he shouldn't call it the Cincinnati Black Blog and continue to pretend that his mission is to further the causes of black people. If that were true, he would just stay quiet about his friend that did major damage to poor black men that trusted him."
I'll call it whatever I want to call it. You don't give a damn about Black people or the Black community. You are just mad that you can't make me think what you want me to think or say what you want me to say.
Kenneth didn't damage anyone. He stood up and fought against creeps like you.
"he broke the law.. black or white he broke the law and cheated people that trusted him"
What law did he break?
You are talking loud and saying nothing.
The Code of Professional Responsibility prohibits lawyers from engaging in conduct involving moral turpitude, fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation and from engaging in other action that could improperly prejudice the outcome of a case or legal matter.
ohiobar.org
If you know enough to quote from the Code of Professional Responsibility then you know that this "code" is not a set of "laws". So I ask again, ken Lawson has been accused by you of breaking THE LAW. What LAW did he break?
Nate - I sent a post in, too, that wasn't published. Yes, it is your blog and perogative to post what you want, but I'm disappointed.
And if you read my original post, you'll see that I stated I don't think Mr. Lawson should be permanently disbarred. I don't really understand why you would choose not to put my post up.
"Why should Brian Garry have to speak out? Lawson got people sent up the river, doing serious time. Black men. Whether he defended him or not. And in the shape Lawson's been in an innocent verdict was a slam dunk because he hasn't put on a sensible defense in years. Have you seen him in court? Sleeping. Babbling. Incoherent, not following the procedures. Not having even basic knowledge about his own clients?"
Lawson didn't get anybody "sent up the river". This is a lie that comes straight from the pit of Hell!
For someone who was allegedly high in court and doing all the things you claim -- sleeping, babbling, incoherent -- he sure did win a lot of cases, including one that pisses a lot of you off -- Howard Beatty. If Ken Lawson has been this sucessful while drunk or on drugs, I can't wait to see what he is like when he is clean and sober!!!
I wasn't associated with Lawson when he did Brian's case FOR FREE but I imagine a lot of people probably advised him not to take the case. They probably didn't want him to stand up for Brian and said he should let Brian go get one of those white lawyers that he has helped make money in the past like Bowtie Bob. But Lawson disregarded that advice and stood up for Brian. That's why Brian should speak up? His silence on this and many other issues shows a serious defect in his character. Brian Garry is no Maurice McCrackin.
"And Peter Deane did you read this? According to Nate, you're responsible for Ken Lawson's blight goofball. What a bunch of idiotic drivel. The regular dope fiend goes to jail. The privileged dope fiends like Lawson become the cause celebre. It's about class stupid."
Care to offer any support for your claim that the "regular dope fiend" goes to jail? I've known lots of "dope fiends" and the only ones that I know who've gone to jail are ones who broke the law. Until recently, in Cincinnati we didn't lock people up for having a drug problem.
Yo Nate,
He should call his good buddy Joe Deters ( who he campaigned for openly on the Buzz) to help him out. The white man never forgets? That's garbage! Ken did drugs because Ken has a weakness. another Neo Tom who kissed the white male ass-and got turned into a lwan jockey in the end.
Bro. Livingston,
You are absolutely right on your 5 points regarding why Sillyman hasn't and won't speak up for Mr. Lawson. Thank you for your thoughtful and truthful response to my comment. Keep speaking the truth about that arrogant lil punk. His day to "fall" is soon at hand.
"And Peter Deane did you read this? According to Nate, you're responsible for Ken Lawson's blight goofball. What a bunch of idiotic drivel. The regular dope fiend goes to jail. The privileged dope fiends like Lawson become the cause celebre. It's about class stupid."
I got the blues
being blamed for something I didn’t do
you know Nate may have called me many things
but he never ever never ever called me a goofball
What did I do wrong?
Witness for a man that was proven innocent!
In the end Ken Lawson covered Garry’s case for free.
I just wanted to know if Garry was returning a favor.
Well if Garry won’t do then I will.
Thank you Mr. Lawson.
I was there that night when the Cincinnati Police
wrongly trampled over the rights of the people.
Afterwards Garry cried innocent
and Lawson paid back
a favor to someone that someone did for him
and Garry rightfully went home a free man.
Idiotic drivel?
Lawson has class
and there’s people that can’t afford the law
what does a lawyer cost these days $325 an hour?
Sometimes Lawson fills the gap
and sometimes he fills the gap.
Lawson needs another chance
in Cincinnati he deserves every bit of it.
Man I got the blues
but I don’t remember Nate ever blaming me for anything.
Yes, I read it but I tell you I sometimes think I'm the most forgetful man there ever was. But it doesn't bother me because it helps make my forgiving easier.
Time just seems to always heal the wounds and sometimes it's just better to think about the bad things that happen.
I meant to say that it's just sometimes better not to think of the bad things that happened.
We all make mistakes.
For the sake of this community Lawson needs to still practice law.
Peter Deane, did Lawson pass on the name of his dealer to you? You're hallucinating unless you actually believe that people don't, in this country have a right to a sober defense. If you want to write a "poem" in tribute to Lawson then you also ought to at least acknowledge the incredible, irreversible damage he's done to vulnerable people. You're hallucinating. You ought to put that pipe down and clear out your head. He doesn't deserve to practice. Let him go deliver pizza or clean offices like those he exploited.
Nate as soon as say;
"I had to be a little boy when I first heard the saying: the white man never forgets"
you lose credibility.
It is a shame that you use so much energy to divide and rip on just about everybody.
Nate,
You asked what law Kenneth broke? He openly admitted in his interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer that he took $15,000.00 or so from a clients' trust fund to support his habit and or pay his bills.
That came from Kenneth. And you read the article. Now how can you ask what law did he break. Had this been some other attorney, you'd be screaming for him to be disbarred. You know good and well the responsibilities lawyers have to their clients. Anything other than that is a violation of law and ethics.
Go visit ohiobar.org. Fool.
"You asked what law Kenneth broke? He openly admitted in his interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer that he took $15,000.00 or so from a clients' trust fund to support his habit and or pay his bills.

You must have forgotten where you are posting. You act as if you are posting comments on some other blog where you can get away with telling lies and not answering questions. Wrong.
I read the Enquirer articles. And I've read the court documents. All of them. No where in that article or in those documents does Kenneth ever admit "he took $15,000.00 or so from a clients' trust fund." Unless you can provide a source for this claim, this will be the last time I publish it on this blog.
Furthermore, I'll give you one more time to answer the question: what law did Ken Lawson break? If you fail to answer the question this time I won't post any more of your comments. Its just that simple.
Now, PAY ATTENTION. In Ohio, LAWS are codified in the Ohio Revised Code. You claim Kenneth broke THE LAW. What LAW are you talking about? What LAW do you accuse him of breaking?!? What section of the Ohio Revised Code?
"If you want to write a "poem" in tribute to Lawson then you also ought to at least acknowledge the incredible, irreversible damage he's done to vulnerable people."
Care to point to one -- just one -- vulnerable person who was damaged by a client of Lawson? Even if (and that's a big IF) he was on drugs, he still handled his business.
"Sillyman lynches black people? Lawson does a lot worse. He sends them to their doom. At least Sillyman's lynching is figurative. Lawson's is literal."
Wow. I can't believe you wrote this. Way to put your foot in your mouth.
Everybody with good sense knows Ken Lawson didn't send anybody to their "doom". They can't say the same thing about Sillyman though. HE SENT KABAKA OBA OUT ON A MISSION THAT RESULTED IN HIS DEATH!!!!!!!!!
We have a real example of Sillyman sending a man to his doom.
If you want to write a "poem" in tribute to Lawson then you also ought to at least acknowledge the incredible, irreversible damage he's done to vulnerable people.
Name the people that Lawson failed?
Hey, I saw what he did for someone all because of a good deed that needed to repaid...
Tell me once when Stan Chesley did that.
By the way, I'm just wondering when someone says '4th Street Gang', who is that. Between what two street on 4th Street do they do practice their trades.
And Sillyman's "doom" awaits him...
Nate,

Can you prove this statement? Was Oba just a Sillyman puppet? Where is the copy of those marching orders? Proof? I think you better re-read your own statement and stop
posting lies on your own blog UNLESS you can back them up with irrefutable proof. Oba was his own man and made his own choices.
