Glenn, FOP Endorse Pepper

John Glenn with Mallory endorser State Rep. Tyrone K. Yates.
Former Democratic U.S. Senator John Glenn added his name to the list of individuals and groups endorsing David Pepper for Mayor of Cincinnati. (I saw the story on Fox 19 news but I haven't seen a link to it.) Everyone, even Mark Mallory's supporters, should congratulate David on this endorsement. Don't childishly attack Glenn and ask about his lobbying like David did when Mallory was endorsed by former Senators Dick Finan and Stanley Aronoff. Show some class.
The pro-Pepper Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that Keith Fangman and the FOP will also endorse David. Again, show some class. Don't point out that Fangman has been the most divisive person in this community over the last 5 years. Don't mention that while the Enquirer continues to point out Mallory's acceptance of the Black Fist's endorsement, David accepted endorsements from indicted child rapist and pervert Wendell Walker and convicted felon and drug dealer Candice Tubbs. You folks can't sink to David's level.

Further proof that Pepper is just Luken, Jr.
It will be interesting to see if Pepper puts this on his endorsement lists since he went after Mallory for having people outside the city endorse him.
Remember what haapened to Winburn once he was endorsed by the FOP.
Whinner Jr.- Witte must be so disappointed in the Glenn endorsement, since he and Whinner Sr. Pepper have made such a big stink about out of town enodrsements.
Well, Whinner Jr is quite pleased with the FOP endorsement. Since Mallory knows nothing about the crime problem the FOP had a clear choice in addressing the biggest issue in this city. David Pepper has a clear vision on attacking crime and stabilizing our neighborhoods.
The Glenn endorsement doesn't bother me. I received a mail piece from a Columbus based union yesterday. I wish Mallory knew as many people in Cincinnati as he does in Columbus.

Pepper's plan for attacking crime is so clear, as evidence by his four years on council.
If Pepper is so tough on crime, why in last 4 years under his crime fighting efforts has crime been on a continued increase.
Why is he so passionate about weed tickets, when meth and heroine are was is causing crime and death.
Why is he giving tax dollars to corporations, who not only take the tax incentives, they lay people off and used our tax dollars to setup shop in other local city or leave the area all together.
He says he for small business, just last year because of his because of his sneaky backdoor politics, he cause several small businesses to end up going out of business.
He so tough on crime, that he is totally out of touch with reality.
Witte, defend this one...David Pepper stated on the floor of coucil that Cincinnati doesn't have real gangs.
Pepper and anything having to do with crime is a joke.
Pepper was the FOP's second choice behind Winburn, and what did the FOP endorsement do for Winburn.
John Glenn was born on July 18, 1921 in Cambridge, Ohio.
Muskingum College, a B.S. in engineering.
In 1943, enlisted in the Marine Corps, married Anna Margaret Castor.
Glenn flew 59 missions during World War II.
Volunteered for Korean War, which he flew 63 missions and shot down three MIGs.
Earned Distinguished Flying Cross six times.
In 1957, set a transcontinental speed record by flying from Los Angeles to New York in 3 hours and 23 minutes.
In 1958, he was selected to the U.S. space program's Project Mercury.
On February 20, 1962, Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth. Riding inside the Friendship 7 capsule. Nine days later, 4 million spectators in the streets of Manhattan gave him a hero's welcome.
Glenn resigned from the space program in 1964.
Returned to public service in 1974 as a U.S. senator.
He was reelected in 1980 by the largest margin in Ohio history, then again in 1986 and 92.
On October 29, 1998, Glenn, then 77, became the oldest person in space when he and six fellow astronauts were hurled into space for almost nine days aboard the space shuttle Discovery.
On October 13, 2005, Glenn, at the age of 84, endorsed David Pepper for Mayor of Cincinnati.
That about says it all for me.

You left out the part when John Glenn endorsed Paul Hackett for Congress last Summer. That sure worked for him now didn't it?
He might not had gotten the win... but it sure didn't hurt him.

the FOP endorsement can't mean anything to anyone anymore.
how could any sane voter take seriously the FOP endorsing Pepper after not endorsing him for Council in 2003 and crapping all over him in the primary.
repeat: they didn't just not endorse Pepper in the primary- they campaigned against him.
Mallory accepts an endorsement from a group that says... "Die Pigs Die." And you expect the police to give Mallory their endorsement?
C'mon the FOP sometimes chooses the wrong candidate as they did with Mean Jean Schmidt but this time Mallory biggest mistake was to recognize a group that carries signs that say Die Pigs Die as in Members of the Cincinnati Police and Cincinnati Black Sentinals.
The FOP did the right thing... I'm sure the Sentinals would agree.
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore is definitely Scorcese's worst movie...and a terrible name unto itself. I prefer Anonymous...
I get it now, The Westwood Concern (closet racist group) endorsement of David Pepper is acceptable, becasue that racist group is from the same stomping groungs as most of the CPD.
Oh, that makes is okay then to get the FOP endorsement once you be endorsed by a so-called "Hate Group".
The Sentinels (the concensus builders of the CPD), do not agree with the FOP.
Could it be, that #1 - they have done their homework on the Black Fist of which Kabaka has not been a member of for quite some time.
Could it also be their working realtionship, or lack there of with David Pepper.
The FOP took David Pepper as a last ditch measure.
They did not support him in the primary, and endorse him at the 25th hour which does not help him.
Oh, by the way...David did accept the endorsement of the low key racist group "Westwood Concern".
But again as long as the racist and the cops have played together since childhood, went to the same schools, are the God-Parents to each others children, and still live side by side, that enodrsement is acceptable.
Smoke Eater: I believe Mallory has the Sentinel endorsement.
