Courthouse Chaos

Little Christopher Beck
Chaos is in the air. The Cincinnati Post and WCPO-TV are reporting that:
A hearing in a capital murder case erupted into a courthouse melee Friday morning when families of the accused and the victim clashed.
More than a dozen Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies broke up the disturbance and four people were arrested after the fight, which began on the third floor of the Hamilton County Courthouse and continued outside the building.
Family members of the victim in the case and relatives of the accused were waiting for Charles Finley, 19, of Corryville, to be brought from the Hamilton County Justice Center for a 10 a.m. hearing in Common Pleas Judge Beth Myers' third-floor courtroom.
Finley is accused in the death of his girlfriend's 1-year-old son, Christopher Beck. Prosecutors say he beat the child while babysitting on Sept. 21. Finley is charged with aggravated murder and could face the death penalty if guilty.
Screaming broke out between his family and relatives of the victim's mother, Diana Tucker, as they waited for the hearing to begin. [Post]

What a damn shame! A baby is dead and the family is acting a fool. Apparently no one is thinking about little Christopher Beck?

Isn't it refreshing to see grieving relatives direct their anger and hatred against the actual perpetrator instead of the EMT's or the police? know its painful to see, but this is what a normal response to murder is like. Not the bitching abut the EMT's taking 5 minutes to put the body in their truck, which is what the mother of black on black murder victim last year was crying about.
Don't be so hard on the family Nate. Just thank God you have never been in their situation and pray that you never will. I have lost a child and I felt someone played a role in her death. If I had been wihtin 100 feet of that person within days of my daughter's death, I probably would have attacked her. It's the worst kind of despair. Try not to judge them - they are suffering the worst lot that life has to offer...
