Betty Hull Riding DeWine Family Bus

***** CORRECTION *****
Every now and then I get something wrong. I do my best not to make mistakes because people use them to ignore the larger issue. Still, whenever I make a mistake I try to correct it as soon as possible. In an earlier, unedited, version of this blog entry I wrote that Pat and Karen DeWine were still married, and that Pat had filed for divorce but the divorce wasn't final. I was wrong. Pat's divorce became effective April 6, 2004, almost a year ago. I should have known this. It is no excuse, but I based my initial blog entry on information I recieved from a group called "The Friends of Karen DeWine". I should have double checked the information before I wrote the blog entry. I apologize to you readers of the Cincinnati Black Blog.
***** END CORRECTION *****

If the election to replace Rob Portman in Congress depended on who had the biggest balls, Pat DeWine would win in a landslide!

It takes nerve to run for City Council in 2003, win the seat, leave early to challenge a Republican incumbent for Hamilton County Commissioner (dividing the Party), win the seat, then less than 90 days after taking the office announce you are running for Congress. That all takes nerve.

But, IT TAKES BALLS THE SIZE OF BASKETBALLS to host a bus tour and bring your white children (by your white wife, Karen DeWine) and Black girlfriend, Betty Hull (with whom you have a bi-racial child) along for the ride. (I certainly hope Betty wasn't forced to ride in the back of the bus.) According to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Cindi Andrews, that's exactly what Pat did:

The group that piled off the bus included U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine - Pat's dad - as well as two of the candidate's three young sons; mom Frances; girlfriend Betty Hull; and assorted sisters, nieces and nephews.

I'm actually surprised that the Enquirer allowed Cindi to put Betty's name in the paper because for the longest time, the local media protected her identity and allowed Pat to deny the marital affair. (I don't know what happened to the ethics complaint I filed with the Senate after Pat's daddy, U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, reportedly threatened former WCPO reporter John Damschroder and WCPO management and forced them to yank a news report from airing.)

But, as usual, the lazy, local, biased Enquirer passed along bad information. The quote above says Pat has three sons. You'd think that he only has three children. That's incorrect. Yes, Pat fathered three sons with his white wife Karen, but the Enquirer failed to mention Pat's child he fathered with Betty. (Or do they have two children now?)

Why the bad reporting? I'd suggest the reason is because the paper understands that the country is outraged about Michael Schiavo shacking up with a woman and fathering children with her while still married to Terri Schiavo, and they don't want Pat DeWine to be thought of as the Michael Schiavo of Hamilton County. I know Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich get knocked for dumping their wives, but I don't think either of them fathered children with other women while still married. And Jesse Jackson rightfully took quite a bit of heat for fathering a child out of wedlock, but he stayed married to his wife. Pat DeWine is living with Betty Hull and has fathered children by her. He began living with Betty while still married to Karen. Will Republicans who blasted Jackson, questioned Newt, and proclaimed "family values" and support for marriage reject this guy or show themselves to be a bunch of hypocrites? We'll see.

I'm looking for the numbers on how many Republicans in Ohio's Second Congressional District voted for Issue 1 last November because they wanted to protect the sanctity of marriage.

Here's my prediction. If Pat is elected to Congress, he'll quickly resign, attend the International Players Ball and easily be named the Mack of the Year. (wink) (source)

Pimping was still the most prestigious business of the day as pimps acquired the most wealth in this economy. The pimp with the most power, prestige, and respect earned the distinct title of "Mack" of the year. Many cities have hosted the "International Players Ball" including Detroit, Las Vegas, and Chicago. This gala event is an annual affair, akin to the movie industry's Oscar Awards, in which the most prestigious pimps appear sporting their most successful ladies.

Update: The Whistleblower claims Pat DeWine actually introduced a blonde, white female as his wife in Batavia. Was Karen on the bus, too?!? If so, Pat has got to be the Mack of The Year!!!

In Batavia, when the school bus brought the sniveling senator and his shameless stuttering son to the county courthouse, our Clermont Crusader says Pa-pa-pa-patrick (who was there with Da-da-da-Daddy) was quickly in and out.

Unconfirmed reports say he actually introduced a blonde, white female as his wife. We wonder what the good ole' boys will think about that.
